Seasonal, Part-Time Golf Course Mechanic

Job Summary:

Livingston Country Club is seeking a skilled and reliable Seasonal, Part-Time Golf Course Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position offers a highly flexible schedule, including the possibility of afternoon and weekend hours, and the opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of our high-quality golf course. The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of golf course maintenance equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of golf course equipment, including mowers (greens, fairway, rough), utility vehicles, tractors, sprayers, and other machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems efficiently and accurately.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
• Sharpen and adjust mower blades to maintain optimal cutting performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Ensure a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Work with the superintendent and assistant superintendent to keep equipment operational.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in mechanical repair, preferably with golf course or similar equipment.
• Strong knowledge of small engine repair, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own tools are preferred.

Working Conditions:

• This is a seasonal, part-time position with a highly flexible schedule, including opportunities for afternoon and weekend hours.
• Work will primarily be performed in various out buildings, and can include outdoors in various weather conditions.
• The position may require lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
